Regular meeting this month, 1st monday of the month, Kell's irish pub 112 SW 2nd Ave. 6-8PM ? 10/6/08.
OR-Nachi, the Oregon chapter of the National Association of Certified Home
Inspectors, will be pleased to have Ron Ridnour of Pinnacle Roofing at our
October 6th meeting. Ron is well known to Nickelsen Home Inspections,
LLC, and is often referred to for “roof certifications”, which is Ron’s
specialty.
Many lenders require that 5 years be left on a roof for the loan, and, of
course, a home inspection, being a “visual, non-invasive inspection of the
readily accessible areas of the property AS THEY EXIST ON THE DAY OF THE
INSPECTION”, is not a “certification” that the roof will last for 5 more
years.
This is where a person like Ron comes in. If, in performing a home
inspection, I run into a roof that appears to be “nearing the end of its
typical life design”, I recommend that “further evaluation be performed by
a licensed roofing inspector/contractor that specializes in roof
certifications”. This is where a person like Ron comes in…
So, come on MONDAY, OCTOBER 6TH, 2008 to Kell’s Irish Pub (Downtown
Portland, 112 SW 2nd Ave.), from 6-7:30pm (or so) for a laid back
discussion about roofs with Ron Ridnour of Pinnacle Roofing.
Bring any questions you might have about roof certifications, roof
problems, problem roofing materials (like Pabco roofs), roof inspections,
etc.
See you there!
